A bit of a big update this weekend as I haven't posted for a couple of weeks. First up is a shot of my game from 'Operation Market Larden', a better photo than any of mine as I managed to leave it on landscape mode. Doh!
Following on from this game I decided to dig out a small collection of Spanish guerillas, I have enough for three groups of eight with some big men.
The other figures currently on the painting table are the Artizan late war Germans I bought at Sheffield Triples, these are destined for 'Chain of Command' which should be released before the end of the summer.
This game is based on the infantry platoon with support options like a anti tank gun, panzershreck team or tripod mounted HMG. Vehicles when present, will be in very small numbers, overall a nice contained project.
Here are some shots of the models I got painted up specially for 'Operation Market Larden', first up a box of Perry French Infantry, there's also a couple of Victrix in the mix. I still have the remainder of the box of Victrix to finish painting.
The Royal Navy carried its own soldiers on ships, these Marines are from Wargames Foundry.
A selection of sailors, flanked by a couple of resin ships cannon. There's a good mix of figures here, some with muskets, others have swords and pistols. Figures are from Wargames Foundry, Brigade Games and Steve Barber.
I have made a couple of lucky purchases in the last few weeks, firstly enough Skytrex 15mm American Paratroops to make a company for IABSM (great figures but why no bazookas teams?), secondly I came across someone selling Brigade Games Three Musketeers figures, I have wanted these for ages so I snapped them up. These are both projects for next year so no photos yet.
